“My approach to counseling begins with collaboration. I believe that the counseling process should be collaborative between therapist and client, which is foundational to the process and the therapeutic alliance. The therapeutic alliance and its characteristics of attunement, empathy, non-judgment, and congruence are foundational to change. My therapeutic approach is guided by person-centered theory with an emphasis on attachment, a strengths-based approach, and processing through core emotions and themes. I believe that people are capable of self-understanding and awareness, and I view people as uniquely holistic in having mind, body, and soul. In the counseling process, it is my goal to create a space of safety, trust, warmth, genuineness, and non-judgment so that your story can be shared and honored. “
