School Partnership
Since 2019, North Albany Wellness Center has partnered with GAPS to bring therapists to several secondary schools on campus. This partnership allows students to meet with their mental health counselor on campus during the school day! This is a convenient way for students to access counseling services while minimizing time missed from classes.
North Albany Wellness Center has Active partnerships with:
South Albany High School - Bobby Larson, Licensed Professional Counselor
Albany Options School - Rebecca Wigton, Licensed Professional Counselor
Albany Options School - Ashley Merback, Professional Counselor Associate
How does payment work?
Families can use insurance or pay cash for their child’s sessions. Be sure to check with your child’s insurance plan regarding their benefits and deductibles for “outpatient mental health.” You can call the number on the back of the insurance card or visit your insurer’s website.
How do I schedule an appointment for my child?
If your child is referred to our office by the school, we will contact you; you can also reach out via our website or phone. Either way, we will guide you through our regular intake process to connect your child with one of our counselors. Once the appointment is set, the school counseling office will call your child from class to meet with their therapist. All information, including the fact that your child is attending a counseling appointment, will be kept confidential.
