School Partnership

A list of schools we partner with and our school therapists

School Partnership

Since 2019 North Albany Wellness Center has partnered with GAPS to bring therapists on campus in several secondary schools. Through this partnership students are able to meet with their mental health counselor on campus during the school day! This is a convenient way for students to access counseling services while minimizing time missed from classes.

North Albany Wellness Center has Active partnerships with:

  • South Albany High School - Juergen Weissschuh, Professional Counselor Associate

  • West Albany High School - Rebecca Wigton, Licensed Professional Counselor

  • North Albany Middle School - Rebecca Wigton, Licensed Professional Counselor

  • Timber Ridge School - Rebecca Wigton, Licensed Professional Counselor

  • Albany Options School

How does payment work?

Families can use insurance or pay cash for your child’s sessions. You will want to verify with your child’s insurance plan what their benefits and deductible are for “outpatient mental health.”  Call the phone number on the back of the insurance card or visit your insurer’s website.

How do I schedule an appointment for my child?

If your child is referred to our office by the school, then we will contact you; you can also contact via our website or phone. Either way, we will walk you through our regular intake process to get your child connected with one of our counselors. Once the appointment is set, your child will be called from class by the school counseling office to meet with their therapist.  All information, and the fact that your child is going to a counseling appointment, will be kept confidential.
