I like helping individual clients with depression, communication, and self-esteem concerns. Some of the clients I’ve appreciated working with the most had been considering getting help for a long time, but either wanted to try and deal with it themselves or thought asking for help meant they were admitting they were weak or a failure. If ideas like this have kept you from seeking help in the past, know this: I recognize and respect the courage it takes just to enter my office. I like helping individual clients with depression, communication, and self-esteem concerns. I believe the purpose of counseling is to help clients understand themselves better, take personal responsibility for their lives, and feel empowered to address their own problems again. To these ends, my approach is primarily informed by brief psychodynamic and gestalt perspectives.
Over the course of my career, I have helped clients from all walks of life, and I can say almost all of them have taught me something during my time with them. Whether you decide to come in now or in the future, I look forward to working together.
